I got MARRIED!

So, during my brief time away from the blog I got married!!! It was truly beautiful. We got married Dec 14, 2013 :). Our reception was held at Maggiano's Little Italy. I would recommend this place to anyone! They had all you can eat Italian food and even packed it up for the guests to take home-yum! Matt is a Fireman so we stopped at the fire station to take some pictures. That was nice because it allowed us an hour of "alone" time. No, I don’t mean we did anything dirty- it was just nice to settle for a minute and enjoy being married without the hustle and bustle of everyone else around us. My advice to future brides would be...
  • Get a videographer!! I so so so regret this! We were trying to cut costs so we didn’t get one. The next day I immediately regretted it. You are so nervous throughout the whole day you forget things. I would like to watch the video and see his face while I am walking down, and notice my parent's reactions as they gave me away.
  • Don’t stress about the small stuff! There are so many little things that don’t go how you plan throughout the day. If you got upset over every little one you would be miserable! For example, it snowed the morning of my wedding and a few of my bridesmaids were late to get their hair and makeup done- That OK! That is why it is important to book a big block of time to allow for things like this to happen.
  • Take a moment with your husband. Our quiet moment was when we drove to the firehouse to take pictures. We stopped at McDonald's and even bought a coke :).
  • If possible, take your honeymoon right away! Matt and I are leaving for our honeymoon shortly. I wish we had gone right away, but the Holidays were too close and we didn’t want to miss them. If you go right away then you feel you are truly married!
  • If you are trying to save money then look online for DIY ideas or Etsy shops that provide cheap prices. I made almost everything myself for the wedding and am currently selling and making items on Etsy.
  • Have fun!!!! Ignore the rude aunt in the corner, or the obnoxious drunk uncle. They are not worth your time! One of my guests threw up on the dance floor! We just moved to the other side and kept on dancing :)!
